Church Brew Works is OK with me

I've been to CBW a few times, and I've never had a bad experience there. The food is very good, but the selection is small. The spinach and artichoke dip is a tasty appetizer but it never comes with enough pita bread to use up all the dip. They do provide some neat crackers that are shaped like pretzel sticks to go with the dip. The beer selection is pretty cool, but I'm not big on specialty beer because it doesn't taste as good as Yuengling or Miller Lite. I suppose I'm going to be yelled at for saying that. It is also just really fun to go because the atmosphere is interesting, I mean how often do you get to drink alcohol in a church!!! Beer altar rocks!

Pretty and fun, but the food is mediocre. And I've been there a few times . . .

Being vegetarian we have three choices at the church. Vegetable dish A or B or pizza. Though they do have a really killer spinach and artichoke dip. Mostly this place is about excellent beer.

Greetings -
As an owner of the Church Brew Works, I'd like to point out we have had a Vegan Entree from day one which is ten years having vegan cuisine in Pittsburgh. Interestingly, our Vegetarian dishes (excluding pizza) typically have the highest cost of goods of any of our dishes. Baby Bok Choy is normally pricier than chicken or pork. We like to hit Trams Kitchen around the corner form us where vegetarian dishes are pricier than non veggie dishes - we do like them, Pho Minh, Taste of India and Peoples for other local vegetarian food.
Cheers - S Casey - founder
