Sub-par Mexican food, even though the waiters seem to actually speak Spanish. The three or four vegetarian selections are pretty much beans, rice, quesadillas, and enchiladas, but focusing on one of those things as the “main dish.”

Cozumel / AZUL
My second trip to pittsburgh for a project in Oakland. I lot of buzz about shadyside area about there bars, restaurant etc. We walked in with 5 other managers for lunch at cozumel now AZUL ( funny name ). At least 20 minutes before anyone will come to your table ( though it was all empty) dirty pitchers filled with yellow water. Food came out hot ( after 35 minutes) portions were large but very pricy.
I will not recommend it for lunch if you want to be surved under 1 hour.

The food and service here was so bad that I really couldn't recommend this place to anyone, even if I didn't like them. While the food and drinks were pretty bland, I was fine with that. Salt/pepper/hot sauce can fix almost anything... and I won't bitch, I'll just probably not come back. Maybe there's a market for bland mexican food and I'm just not a part of it. That's fine.
However, I was able to find (without trying very hard) five hairs in my food, which is either outright disgusting or perhaps just a little too "authentic" for my taste. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in the Pittsburgh area (as opposed to Don Pablos or something like that) I would recommend El Campesino in Monroeville.
To summarize: if you must eat here, make sure it's during a time of the day when ambulance service will be quick.
