So Kittanning isn't really in Pittsburgh, but this is probably the King's I have eaten at the most. And what can I say about King's, and this one in particular? It is / was mostly a good hangout for high school kids because you could go there and buy a pop or something and sit there for hours and not have to spend anymore money. The "smoking room" was usually full of rowdy people, especially if it was after some event like a musical or a chorus concert or football game or something. I don't remember what I ever ate there, I think pierogies? Does King's have pierogies? The food isn't anything fantastic, but I think you don't expect it to be when you walk in the door. The King's in Kittanning also employed many high school students and recent graduates, so you were always sure to see someone you hated when you walked in the door. Oh yeah, I used to get the big salad here a lot too, but it always had a big puddle of water when you got to the bottom of the bowl. What's up with that? In conclusion, King's is a good place to eat mediocre food cheaply (I'm sure Jess will disagree with me here) and to catch up with your entire graduating high school class - hell even those that didn't graduate! Because they probably work there now.
