Antoon's Pizza

Looking for cheap pizza? You can't go wrong with the famous Antoon's Pizza in Oakland. For under $5 you can get a large cheese pizza. I always thought that the only way they could afford that price is by volume, and its the truth. They make tons of pizza's on the weekend so if you call and say your name is something generic like mine, you can then show up 2 minutes later and pick it up. Good pizza for the price, not the taste.

I like the taste of Antoone's, so I'd say its good for the cost and taste.

When was the last time you were there? The last time I was there I thought they had raised the price again and it was no longer under $5.

A friend of mine who was a former pizza chain employee, with an impressive resume (some place in Bethesda, Pizza Outlet, the O (which he was fired from for giving away pizzas to friends)), anyway, he once told me that the most expensive component of a pizza is the sauce. And that Antoone's prices their pizzas how they do because they use very little sauce.

Antoon's Pizza is great...It's probably the most unhealthy food on the face of the earth, but it tastes great
