Pacific'O - Incredible meal with an excellent view

Pacific'O is a very sleek modern restaurant down on the far end of Lahaina from where we were staying. The restaurant itself is very open. This allows a fresh breeze off the ocean and if you time it right a great time to watch the sunset to the west. There is also ample outside seating. This was not an option for us, as there was a light drizzle going on as we walked into the restaurant. There is also ample parking in the vicinity of the establishment.

Julie and I shared a really surprising appetizer, the Spring Roll wraps. Unlike ordinary spring rolls, these were served in a lettuce and herb pocket. You can see them below.

There were not a lot of vegan options on the menu so Julie and I both had the Blackened Tofu. It is one of the best tofu dishes I have ever had. "Blackened" did not mean what I thought it would, as the tofu was not black at all. It was encrusted with spices and was prepared in a way that it was extremely tender and tasty. I would wager that a meat eater would enjoy this meal very much. This dish also marks one of the few times I have had quinoa in a restaurant setting.

The service at the Pacific'O was also top notch. Really excellent in their knowledge of the food, how it could be modified to accommodate our diet and their willingness to do so.

Having had nothing but praise for the establishment, I do have to tell you this is not a cheap place to eat. Our entrees were $30 each, and we had an appetizer and drinks. This put our romantic dinner for two close to the ~$100 mark. Its not awful, but its probably best that you are aware that the great atmosphere and service aren't free.
