Kings - You know what to expect

Kings is one of my favorite places to eat because it is cheap and I always know that the food will taste good! Sometimes Kings is really busy, most times it is not bad unless there was some type of event letting out. The waitresses aren't always super nice, but it is easy to flag one down and I usually have much better service at Kings than at Eat'n Park.

I won't disagree with Julie completely, however I haven't been to the Kings in Kittanning for years. I frequent the Kings in Penn Hills on Frankstown Road, conveniently located right across the street from Eat'N Park! I really like it because I've been going there for years, I know the food tastes good, it is always hot, never looks questionable, fills me up, and tastes the way I expect it to taste. When I am really hungry I know I can go there and get some good cheap eats and get it quickly. I don't need to ponder over the menu and then wonder if I will like to food. And YES, they do have pierogies!!

I go a lot of other places too ... but being single and cheap, it is easier to go to Kings than to go to the grocery store and buy ingredients for food. And yes, the coffee tastes clean and good!

King's - Kittanning

So Kittanning isn't really in Pittsburgh, but this is probably the King's I have eaten at the most. And what can I say about King's, and this one in particular? It is / was mostly a good hangout for high school kids because you could go there and buy a pop or something and sit there for hours and not have to spend anymore money. The "smoking room" was usually full of rowdy people, especially if it was after some event like a musical or a chorus concert or football game or something. I don't remember what I ever ate there, I think pierogies? Does King's have pierogies? The food isn't anything fantastic, but I think you don't expect it to be when you walk in the door. The King's in Kittanning also employed many high school students and recent graduates, so you were always sure to see someone you hated when you walked in the door. Oh yeah, I used to get the big salad here a lot too, but it always had a big puddle of water when you got to the bottom of the bowl. What's up with that? In conclusion, King's is a good place to eat mediocre food cheaply (I'm sure Jess will disagree with me here) and to catch up with your entire graduating high school class - hell even those that didn't graduate! Because they probably work there now.
