Here is an unfortunate update. This weekend Jeff informed me that we could no longer eat at Pitzer's. I asked why, and he told me that they had found a dead rat on their patio. Great. I will note that they are located in a woodsy area so I'm sure there are lots of critters running about. And the rat was on their outside patio, not in their kitchen. But just the thought gives me the shivvers.

I used to love to eat at Pitzer's, but I think it was mostly because I liked to stalk my ex-boyfriend there. I don't think I paid much attention to the actual food, although I do remember that they had tasty salads and fries. It was probably all I could afford to get there when I was in high school. I can't even remember what was on the menu, but I know you could get alcohol there if you were 21 - now I'm almost 24, perhaps I should go back and take advantage of that!

So I've only been to Pitzer's probably twice in my lifetime. I don't remember anything about it, other than I guess it was a decent place. Didn't a Simmons family member work there at some point, Kim? Pitzer's is out by "Crooked Crick."

Ok, this is not located in Pittsburgh. It's in the Ford City area. But if you are down for a road trip, I love this place. Their salads are so good. Nothing fancy, just good food. A large salad will feed you for two meals and keep you full.
