Evergreen Chinese Restaurant - Monroeville

Evergreen Chinese Restaurant is a chinese buffet in Monroeville, right next to Hooters. It is big inside and there is no menu, just a buffet. There are real chinese people there that talk very loudly in their language and it is annoying. If you go after 7pm, the food is old and cold and they will not replace it unless it gets busy. The food is typical cheap bad Chinese food. They have tons of chicken, stir-fry, rice, lo-mein, shrimp, and french-fries for some reason. They have a dessert bar which has softserve icecream that comes out of machine and canned fruit floating in canned fruit juice. The drink isn't even included in the price of the buffet, and no matter what you get, it tastes like slightly flavored water - especially the lemonade ... and the pop is always flat. The coffee is ok though. I go there very infrequently, but Todd likes it and I feel really bad for hating his favorite place .... but I can't help it. It isn't that the food tastes horrid when I eat it, but I feel like I am going to puke out grease for about two days after eating there. I would imagine that no matter what you eat there, a dinner sized serving of food is probably over 2000 calories. I can't eat an entire meal of fried food ... must have some salad or baked goods to wash it down.
