Abay - Something different

I really enjoyed my meal at Abay. Everything was essentially a pile of goo of a differen type. Each goo pile tasted unique and good. You ate the piles of gooo at ABay with a towel-like piece of bread. I highly recommend it for something different.

Abay

Abay is an Ethiopian restaurant in East Liberty - really unique for a city like Pittsburgh. I was there over a year ago, but Nate and I keep saying we have to go back soon. I always hear great things about it, but you know. We're lazy I guess. About half of their menu is vegetarian which is good, but it is one of those deals where you order something and the whole table shares it. We got the vegetarian sampler platter when we were there and I'm not sure that I would ever order anything else... each food seemed too boring to eat on its own, but together, they were great. You eat the food with bread that has the consistency of a wet paper towel - no utensils. So I guess you should be comfortable with the people you are sharing your spit with. I would recommend that you should at least try this place once, but once again... your "mother" may not understand it. I know mine would definitely not appreciate it.
