I used to like to go to Joe Mama's, but now I would just rather go to Fuel and Fuddle. I think they are owned by the same people? Not sure, but anyways Joe Mama's used to have a lot more food and now they hardly have anything. I can't even remember what is on the menu, but last time I was there I couldn't even find anything I wanted. I think I ended up getting a salad or something. Blah. If you want to go to a sit-down restaurant in Oakland and have a bit of peace and quiet, then I'd recommend it. You might find something on the menu. And the food isn't bad, but its not superb.

is ok, but why go here when Fuel and Fuddle is better and next door?

I love pasta so you would think that I would love Joe Mama's, but I don't. The orange lighting upstairs gives me a headache and the food is yucky. I would only go here as a last resort.

Decent place to go when your family is in town. Otherwise, there is no real reason to go here.
