Peter's Pub – Steeler's game

Some friends of mine came back to Pittsburgh to visit, so Julie and I went down to Peter’s Pub to watch the game. This was the weekend ending finals week for the students at the University of Pittsburgh, so the bar was quite full. Given its proximity to Pitt campus, it is no surprise the bar was filled mostly with college aged people, and most sporting Steeler’s colors. The bar itself is what I would call “Upscale College”, it isn’t going to impress many, but it isn’t a dive and the prices are reasonable. I would take my mother here and not be ashamed. (Conveniently she is a Steeler’s fan) And for watching a game, there are plenty of TVs, so “da game” can be seen from just about any seat in the house.

Peter’s has an “Upscale College” array of beer as well. They have the student favorites, but also have Sam Adam’s and other big name craft brewed beers. While drinking several brews, we grew a mighty hunger. We scoured the menu and were pleased they did have one vegan item, a Veggie Wrap. So we each ordered that with a side of fries.

The wrap was served warm which was surprising. It was good and the fries were excellent. I would and already have been back again, for a Steeler’s game.
