Julie and I took an exciting trip through three of the biggest cities in the Pacific Northwest. Our second city was the city of Seattle. While we did have some minor problems with the public transportation system, we still managed to have tasty hot dogs at a small shop called Cyber Dogs.

Cyber Dogs is an interesting combination of an internet café and a hot dog shop. It also is vegetarian only; no meat is served at Cyber Dogs. Before arriving at the establishment I had assumed this would be a fairly routine hot dog shop with a back room used for internet access. This could not be farther from the truth. You walk in and order right at the counter. You get twenty minutes of internet free with a purchase of food and it appears as though you could eat right up at a computer. We did not do this, instead we opted to eat on top of a sit down arcade game, Super Pac-man. The game has a solid glass top so there was no danger of us breaking it.
I had the largest option available from their menu. It was a vegan cheese sauce, chili, and avocado slices served over a veggie dog and bun. It was literally spilling out of its container, and it was not a small container. Unfortunately I don’t recall the name of it, although I know it was a Spanish name. Something similar to “El Bandito” I think, but I’m not really sure.

Julie had the California Dog, which had avocado slices had veggie bacon on it. It was reportedly quite tasty.

The walls are decorated with all sorts of music and popular culture posters, Stanley Kubrik movies, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, etc. There are also many plush dogs filling odd spaces hanging from pipes on the ceiling and on the edge of book shelves and counters.

I highly enjoyed my meal at Cyber Dogs and recommend it to any and everyone.
